The story
The Halloween Mystery Mix
Most of our syringes are a single named variety, clean and traceable. Frankenspore is the opposite idea, and we built it for fun. We pooled spores from more than twenty different Psilocybe cubensis varieties into one 12ml syringe, stitched together like the monster it is named after. It is a novelty for collectors who like the idea of holding the whole shelf in one tube, and a generous reference sample for anyone who just wants plenty of P. cubensis spores to study.
We will be straight with you about what it is and is not. Because everything inside is the same species, you will not be able to tell which variety any given spore came from once it is on the slide. That is not a flaw in the mix, it is simply how taxonomy works at this level. The variety is in the name and the novelty, not in the microscopy. Buy it for the Halloween shelf, the talking point, and the volume of spores to examine, and you will get exactly what it promises.

No. Every variety in the mix is the same species, Psilocybe cubensis, so the spores look essentially identical on a slide. Variety names describe the mushroom, not anything you can resolve from the spores. This is a collector novelty, not a sample you can sort by eye.
Yes, for microscopy and research. A dormant spore contains no psilocybin or psilocin, so the spores themselves are not a controlled substance in the UK. We sell them strictly for microscopy, taxonomy and collecting, never for cultivation.
Sub-ellipsoid, thick-walled spores roughly 11.5 to 17.3 micrometres by 8 to 11.5 micrometres, each with a germ pore at one end, reading purple to dark purple-brown in a mass.
Clean the working area and the syringe tip with the chlorhexidine wipe, fit the sterile needle, and place a small drop on your slide. Work cleanly so you are not introducing anything to your sample.
Keep it cool and dark, upright, with the cap on. Stored well, a spore syringe stays usable for many months. We supply it for examination, not cultivation.
